A FabLab is an accessible digital workplace where people are encouraged to make things themselves using various techniques and where open sharing of designs and ideas is encouraged. In other words, a FabLab is a workshop that offers easy access to a number of computer-controlled prototyping machines, with which users can convert their ideas into tangible products. A FabLab basically has a laser cutter, a CNC cutter, a 3D printer, a foil cutter, and an electronics corner. An important feature of Fablabs is that they share their knowledge with other Fablabs. They are often breeding grounds for innovations.
